Our field
is privately owned and full-scale traffic is minimal (and sometimes awesome!). We fly off of a
2800 X 30 foot paved runway with an optional 600 X 50 foot grass runway. In front of us is
nothing but open field! All AMA members are welcome to fly at our field (please see our Guest
Policy in our Field Rules). Our members range from novice to pro and
are some of the most enjoyable and intelligent people you will ever meet. We host several
events through out the year. All AMA pilots are welcome to fly at all
of them. We welcome their family and friends as well. And of course, the general public is always
welcome to join the fun.
Welcome to the home of the Mohawk Valley Firebirds.
The Firebirds originated in the late 1960's and is an AMA chartered club located at Frankfort
Highland Airport in the town of Frankfort just a few miles south east of Utica, NY.
